I have a reseller hosting package. Can I place a google add on the suspended page that shows when someone doesn't pay?
I would guess yes. As long as you can qualify that page with some content. I would theme that page to match the root of your domain and then you should not have a problem breaking G's TOS.
I doubt it. This is about the same as a 404 page and it's not allowed on those. Best to be asking Google in this case.
Why not Adpubster ? ref: Google's Policy If you dress the page up (theme & content)... then does it not qualify as a content page... much like any other pages on your site ? I can't seem to find anywhere where Google defines what is -OR- NOT content. I believe G's concern is getting relevant ads on a blank page with this rule... so be sure to include some good keywords all over the page and in the code. I believe that can be done with a sentence or two and then qualify.
Also forbids it on 404 pages which are generic pages that are called when a certain condition occurs, ie the page not being there. Basically a catch-all page that the visitor is referred to. The Suspended Account page is the same thing. I don't know whether or not it is allowed, but because of the stipulation about 404 pages, I'd be getting my info directly from the source before proceeding Edited: Couldn't find it at first and thought google may have changed it's TOS again, but: I thought it specifically said Not Found page, but it's actually an all-encompassing Error page, which Suspended Account definitely falls into...at least to me (to google? Dunno, gotta ask them!)
Agreed Best to email G and ask them. Don't forget to save the reply... they sometimes contradict themself.
i would use this rule of thumb: if an ad means that much to you, that you are going to risk loosing your adsense account, for a page that will at best, have a few views, the fine. if you can live without $0.50c a month from that page ads, why risk it?
