Hosting multiple sites - Reseller Account or Addon Domains?

Since im not entirely sure where to post this, I will post it here, it seems like a good place considering the number of people hosting multiple sites...

Currently I have about 7 sites running, I am using a reseller account with a host that I would like to get away from. Since I have 7 sites I have a seperate Cpanel account for each site. Ive heard alot of people saying that I should just use a single cpanel account with 7 Addon Domains.

What is your opinion, is there advantages of one over another? Personally I like the idea of having seperate CPanel accounts for each but I can get a shared hosting account much cheaper...

yeah this is possible, just make new directory's for your different sites, all though resellers are better becouse you can see each individual stats for each domain

I recently got a reseller account to, but for my 11 proxies. The reason being that i figured if one of the sites is blocked, the other ones will be blocked too since they are addon domains. If you are hosting sites that aren't proxies, i suggest using a normal host and set the root of your sites to the name for example www.mysite.com should have a root of /mysite or whatever else you want to make it.

I'm using addon domains for multiple sites with a single hosting account and it works just fine. From a user's perspective, it's completely transparent.

I would go with a reseller. It's much easier to manage and keep things organized.

You can have the best of both worlds if you use the host that I do. skynethosting dot net will give you multiple domains with a seperate cPanel for each. Tell them I sent you.

Other than the stats being better there isn't a lot of advantage, but I like the seperate panels.

I checked out skynethosting, I looked on a review website that says their blacklisted, what does that means for me as a webmaster?

I would love to see the link. PM it if you don't want to post it here.

About 3 months ago there was an email exploit used on one of the domains. It did get spambot listed for the whole ip for a couple of days.
