Is Froogle useful?

Has Froogle come handy to anyone? I mean have you got much visitors from Froogle? in what kinds of services? I mean what did you advertise in Froogle?

 

Any kind of free advertising is useful, i don't get huge amount of traffic from them but something is always better than nothing.

 

froogle is the most extreme case of targeted traffic there is,

meaning, if someone goes to your store through froogle, they have a much higher chance of buying because they see exactly what they're gonna buy

If they aren't interested, they wouldn't have clicked it

therefore works much better than any kind of banner ad or text ad, plus its free

 

I used Froogle for some time on one of my ecommerce sites .. it seem to draw some traffic in, but nothing major

 

Yes it's not big however it does drive in some sales

 

i never had much success in using froogle or yahoo shopping. But i'm going to get my OsCommerce feed to format into froogle in the near future and see what happens (previously i'd only put up 100 or so products as opposed to the 3,200 i offer)

 

Along with agreements from the above posts. Froogle is also "branded" which is a plus.

I would say that Froogle is a failure.

 

It's been around for awhile now, but nobody ever uses it.

It might be good for brainstorming product keywords, but that's all the benefit I get from their service.

 

I agree! Something is always better than nothing, and if some one click, they must know exactly what they need.

 

froogle is just another marketing channel for seller. of course it's somehow useful. You got free traffic and you might can sell lots of products and sercics from it, who knows. It's sure useful but just not so many people use it yet compare to ebay so you can not see any result.

 

i think amazon would be a better bet

 

I knew about Froogle, but I haven't used them in ages...as a consumer. Haven't even thought about them. That's probably why you aren't getting much traffic from Froogle...it's not top-of-mind for very many people who are using the internet.

As a user, it's not particularly useful, in that the results you're given generally aren't specific enough to be able to find your product quickly and easily. The comparisons also come in different currencies, so what looks to be a low price can turn out to cost several times more in a country other than your own.
