Can you use Google Images to find stolen pictures

Hey, is there a way to track down someones avatar, and profile pictures and see if they are real pictures of a person or if they stole it from someplace on the web? and are misrepresenting themselves

 

It is pretty hard to do if they rename the file. Some people are stupid and don't rename it though.

 

thanks for the reply, yeah i thought it would be pretty tough...so the person who has the photos of the hot 20 year old model is probably a 300 lb dude trying to drum up traffic to his profile.

 

You ask for features of the future . I think in 10 years this will be possible.

yeah its a shame, there must be some program out there that can find the source of a photo on the web, without a filename. not that im sweating it

 

Well Idea is good, but difficult now. May be in future some one should develop this kind of stuff!!

 

Easy enough for the other person to prove though. Have them take a new pic holding up a piece of paper with one hand while touching their nose with a finger from the other hand. Would be very hard to Photoshop something like that.

For the record, my avatar is my actual pic, and yes, I really am that cute.*

What's the addy? It's not how good the person looks that is usually the first sign, it's the photography itself. You can PM me if you don't want to post it publically.

I'd suspect that something of that sort may be possible in the next 5 to 7 years or so.

I had a guy not only steal my photo from my index page but he had the check to hot link it as well.

This photo was of a limo and the website that stole it was a rival limo firm in the same town as me.

I changed the photo from limo to placard saying [Im a liar and a thief book your limo with me] was quite funny showing on his index page as it was a large photo.
