WP-Cache by far is the most critical. Without it, your site will never be able to effectively handle more than a few thousand visitors per day ... even on a great server.

 

Well i think wp sitemap in also necessary.

1) OpenID is really hot among leading-edge developers, even made a featured story in USA today
2) Wordpress OpenID plugin (works almost 100% perfect, see below)

IMO, the list for this thread should include the OpenID plugin.

• OpenID security is not really a problem,
• phising concerns (related to OpenID) are often very inaccurate...
• or already fixed with recent updates

...'study up' on your own if you want.
