I did some comp work today hoping to earn some merits. I did see that people mentioned giving green, but my thread I did the work in is outside of the Buy Sell and Trade forums, so I assume that I will not be receiving any merits for that work except for the fact that a few people are happy for the work I did. (well that's a good feeling anyway)

I guess my question is, what is the difference between the (EDIT* I SEE the green explained in another thread oops!)green , , and the itrader and where do I view each of these. Sorry, I did several searches for itrader today and did not come across this thread until now, but not by a search. ironic. :p

    Thanks for the info :)

PS. If I am "giving" work away, can it go in the buy sell trade section? I'm still learning.

pss, ancer, I like that avatar, I'd like to have a pink one, where did you get it?

Do I need to respod in a thread to exchange iTrader feedback? Many op's feel this way but I have always thought if you aren't contibuting to the thread you are spamming.

Yes, that's my problem too. DP wants us to not reply in threads when we have nothing of public interest to say - but for itrade you have to have a message in a public forum. That's conflicting interests for us. Abide by the rules and don't get itrade, or risk an infraction yet build up itrade. I guess the answer is pretty simple: risk the infraction as itrade reputation is both publicly visible and economically relevant. Not that mods would like THAT.

This would be easily mended though, if DP would allow private messages as a 'thread'. Then again - I guess that too could be easily spammed. Oh well, let the mods figure it out.
But it does feel stupid. Just did my first trade (see my sig) - and can't get itrade for it.

what's amazing is that i've exposed a scammer using 3 usernames on here and he keeps on giving me negative iTrading ratings each time i bust him trying to scam someone else. The reply i got from DP was that they do not get into the middle of disputes between members.

How is exposing a scammer a dispute between members? if i notify DP and have proof for them and show this guy has 3 usernames and they still do nothing, they are opening them up to legal liability.

Now I got an infraction for replying that I bought someones services and was happy with it. The message was I was running up my post count and I could only ask questions or make an offer in buy/sell/trade threads. I am really getting frustrated with this system.

I have completed several tasks in the buy/sell forums, but most of the sellers I have worked for have not left iTrader feedback. I would like to post in the trade section that I will write for free, the only "payment" required would be honest iTrader feedback. Is this allowed?

I am not sure if going back one month is allowed. But you can edit the itrader you have given for a certain period of time by hitting the [IMG] button. Otherwise, report a bad rating by hitting the [IMG] and state your case.

    Question though:

Someone posts looking for a service and says reply via PM. If you reply via PM and they hire you, then there's no way to trade iTrader ratings because the service provider didn't participate in the thread. They could go back and post that they sent a PM, but then they would get an infraction for Running up post count/post has no value.

So, does the seller give up iTrader or does the seller ignore buyers request for a PM and post qualifications publicly?

Participating a thread does not mean you need to post in that thread. If you did the job, then you participated in that thread.
