Hi I afraid of using my credit card. I am living in India. So I would like to know this from Indian paypal users that if this is good idea to verify paypal account with the help of VCC. Please also tell me negative points if I use VCC like: If I pay someone to verify my paypal account, is there any possibility the person verified my account can have some control over my paypal account ? What VCC actually do & what the hell it is ? If someone verified my account using VCC can't I able to use that VCC in purchasing things & use it for grabbing some money ? You all might understand that I am a newbie in using paypal & just wanted to know why people use VCC & horrible things can happen with it or not. Also whats the intension behind using VCC ? If you can get the CC then go for CC as VCC destroys the real purpose of verification . I wont suggest VCC , go for a CC , there aint any harm in using your CC .
never trust any service that offers to verify your PayPal account, you might buy a virtual credit card from some company, but you will have to use it yourself to verify your account. Never give out your PayPal account information (password). Overall there is nothing bad about using virtual credit card to verify your account, but I would suggest you ask your local bank or check your online banking account for such service first (most banks should offer service like this themselves), because if you buy it online you never know what you are going to get and whether you can actually use it to verify PayPal or not. There are lots of scams, so loosing your money is easy, also if I am not mistaking then virtual credit card numbers are rotated rather often and you might end up buying a credit card that has been banned from most of the sites, including PayPal, because of something.
Paypal wont steal your money if you use your CC to verify your account. Infact VCC destroys the whole purpose of verification as your real identity is not provided. When you verify with VCC and you get your account limited or banned due to some reason, you would not have any documents to submit to paypal because you used a VCC. so keep that in mind Better use your CC, look at me I dont hav a CC and dont know when Ill get, but I did not use a VCC to verify my account and I am still an Unverified user. Its a good thing that you already have a CC Secondly, You can use VCC to verify your account. Yes, VCC defeats the whole purpose of verification in the first place. It is like using a fake driver's license or fake ID. Most people who sell cheap VCC without verification, typically only allow it for one use and that is to verify the paypal account and that pretty much is it. You will not be able to use it to make purchases. Besides, like in the recent case, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=279092 , the OP added a VCC and his account remains limited and when Paypal asked for his credit card statement, he has nothing to provide as a VCC does not have one. If you are person who enjoy taking risk and does not have an inkling of what is right or wrong then go ahead. Otherwise, use your credit card. Most of us do and we are still alright. Paypal is governed by rules and the law so you can be pretty sure that there is no hanky panky on their end. If you however do not feel secure with using Paypal then don't sign up with it.

Is it possible to use my same paypal account from there & transfer money to my canada bank account or I need new paypal account with new canadian bank credit card ? thnx again
I am from India too Used a VCC since i am underage and having no problems yet You can make another PayPal account from Canada and then transfer all the money to either the PayPal account or the bank..
Firstly , you could have used an add-on CC and howcome indian user living in india should open a Canadian Account ?
If you are going to stay in Canada for a long term, you can create a Canadian Paypal account and link it to your Canadian Bank Account and Canadian Credit Card.
So does that means it is not possible to use my same paypal account I have got in India can be used in Canada & transfer money to my canada bank account or address ? Actually it will take some time to get CC in Canada.
yes frend there's no harm in using credit card for verification, so its better to use credit card for paypal verification rather than virtual credit card!
The last time I asked Paypal about shifting from one country to another, they told me to close my current account and open it when I arrive at the new country if I were to stay there for the long term. I however believe you can continue to use your Indian account if the stay is not permanent, just contact Paypal and tell them your situation and to expect access from both the Indian and Canadian IP. Then again, in your case, India is not top of the food chain in Paypal books which limits the withdrawal of your balance. You could contact Paypal and see what they say about your situation. I would think that if you have all your documentations to backup your identity and status, you should not have any problem. As for the name question, names are generally not unique to just one person. It is possible that someone out there shares the same name as you and Paypal cannot fault you for that.

It's been a while since I created my Paypal account so I am rusty at this. Is there anything about an Expander Use Program listed there ? Or something next to the credit card number to that effect ? Click on that and you be charged US$1.95 on your card, then you supposed to get the Expander Use Program 4 digits number and enter that in Paypal. The number can be found on your credit card statement.

I think its best to use VCC .Once I got Phishing and lot my CC.Since I block CC its did't make any problem.But I prefer u to use VCC. Another thing. Is VCC only in India ???
You can see the 4digit number in online statement for your CC else you need to wait for a month for the statement .
VCC is good only if you want to hide your identity. Real Credit Card is always recommended and you are always safe using it. In case if your password is hacked/whatever you can always ask your bank to block your Credit card, so not a big risk.
