Hi there, Let's say I write two different articles but on the same topic. One article I put on my site and the second article I use for promotion. For example, I submit the second article in 100 article directories and use for press release. Now, I want to know is there any chance of the duplicate penalties from the search engines because second article is being used at many places. If there are chances of any kind of penalties including supplemental index results please advise how to avoid any kind of problems. I will be really thankful for any help. Regards bushib
no it will not affect your site as u r using another article which have totally different content than u have used on your site. u can submit same article in 100 of article site to promote your site. go ahead u will get more oneway links with article submission.
i don't think google will penalize you for this and moreover article submissions can also result in more exposure of your article as it will be collected by many publishers worldwide.
Hi there, Just to continue my actual question. Now If I submit 1 article say in 100+ different article directories then Is there any "duplicate article problem" can occur due to the submission of 1 same article in 100 article directories and can it affect my site in any way? If yes then how to avoid this problem? Any help will be highly appreciated. Regards bushib
Yes, there is a duplicate content filter - those 100 will not all show up in the serps. But for your site, the links are still going to be good - as long as there is a decent number of quality sites among the 100.
i would suggest you to first add both articles in your site. let google and other search engines index it. after that, start submitting your article, with your link in it, to as many article directories as you can.
I don't think that you will be penalized by google by duplicate content because search engine knows whose the first to submit that article. I experience submitting my article in thousand directories and now all the article that I've submitted is in supplemental results.
haaa lol I am agree with janna. there is some article is free for reproduction but must be reproduced in its entirety, including live links & this copyright statement must be included. what u say In case?
Well as long as they are two different article you don't have to worry about it...and no you'll not be penalized by google with it... a lot has done that and it is a way of improving you link popularity and SEs knows where's the original article...though it'll be seen as supplemental afterwards...
I've heard this so many times and it's just not true. Google doesn't reallly notice that it indexed it on your website first. If you post it up on EzineArticles almost everytime google will decide it likes Ezine articles version better, and put your sites copy in the supplemental index. I tried it on one article had it indexed on a PR5 site for a month, then posted the same article on about 30 article sites, and 2 months later my page was in the supplemental index. I know that people say all the time that this is what you're supposed to do. But, when you ask them to back it up with examples of their work they often can't. I Always recommend having a completely original article on your website. It's not that big of a deal to rewrite the article in 5 minutes and stick a completely original article on your website. MR
