    Hello,

This question has been on my mind for sometime.

So, assuming I have a PR0 site relating to let's say finance, and I was able to get 1,000 PR0 finance-related links to this PR0 site. Will the site PR0 become something else?

    Ok, what about 10,000 links?

Second question: Assuming I had 20 related sites. How would you cross connect those to get the most PR?

Links from PR0 pages does affect your site's PR. But if the PRs of the pages giving the links were more, it would give more effect to your site's PR. :)

if the links are same as your site's category, then you will sure have your pr increased.
1000pr0 links are very much worth, but then there are others factors as well.

for example : if you get a link back from a pr4 which has only 5 out going link, that will be lot better than a site of pr8 which has 1000 outgoing link.
but then the pr algorithms change, so you can't say anything for sure.

build the links slowly and steadly, don't buy in a hurry, specially if you are pr0.:)

    seo experts think that one incoming PR1 link is equal 8 PR0, one PR2 = 8 PR1, one PR3 = 8 PR2 (...)

I don't know if these numbers are precise but the PageRank is logarithmic in the inbound links.

    Good article on PageRank:

Although nobody, outside Google, knows exactly how PageRank works or what relevance is put on each PageRank value, you can an idea of how it works at his page: http://www.kenkai.com/google-pagerank-table.htm

    ... and extrapolating from that table, you'll need 101 PR0 to get PR1 :D

If you have quality links expect to have PR on your site as long as those backlinks is already index by google before google update.

PR0 cannot pass any PR juice to your site..

Suppose if your link is on PR5 site, than a PR juice is divided to number of links placed on that particular PR5 webpage.

Thank you all for your comments.

    2 things though:

1- MeetHere: What you are saying contradicts whatever body said before you - Are you sure about what you said?

2- What about the 20 websites question. Assuming you had 20 websites, how would you cross connect them for maximum PR ?

    Thanks

It doesnt make any sense how PR0 sites can give you a higher PR. I am going to agree with Meethere. If you have no PR, you can give no PR. Last time I checked, 0+0+0+.........=0!

If you would have those 20 sites on different servers than OK. Make sure the links are not 2 way.

Not exactly. The thing is, it's not really PR0, it might be PR 0.846382 or something like that. It's rounded in some way(no one knows the exact calculation for rounding), and you can't tell the exact PR. Almost every website has some PR, even if it's just a 20 page website with good internal linking structure. Plus the fact that how can you REALLY tell what the PR is, there is no live link to current PR. So, what looks to you like a PR0 site might actually be PR3 or something.

So, almost everything I have ever seen leads me to believe that PR can actually be passed by PR0 sites.

    HTH,

    MR

Those PR 0 pages might not be PR 0 in real time.. they may have pages linking to them as well. Even if they are all of PR 0, you will still be credited for relevancy.

As for the 20 sites question, as long as the content is relevant, I don't see any problems here :)

    1. It would increase your PR in the next update
    2. Negotiate with them

I have a third question, if you have gained your PR, will it give you higher revenue than selling your products?

To interlink the 20 websites, make sure they are on different IP addresses and not reciprocal in nature.

PR0 sites can give PR... they just give less than higher PR sites.

    Just see it that way:

Imagine that PR0 incoming are like small votes to your site. If you have a lot of small votes, you still have votes, which increase the reputation of your site.

On the other hand, if you get vote from more reputable sites (higher PR sites), you'll site will increase in reputation quicker, per vote.

But, the more votes someone gives to others, the less each vote gives credibility to each sites.

That means that if you get 1 link from a PR7 site, that also links to 1k other sites, you won't get as much reputation as if you get 1 link from a PR5 site that has only 1 external link: you.

So if you get 20k incoming links from PR0 sites that DO NOT use the rel="nofollow" tag, you'll increase your PR drastically.

But if you get your 20k incoming links within a month, be prepared to get sanboxed.

Cool, so as it is turning out, the majority says that incoming PR0 will contribute to a site's PR even if the sites are really PR0 not PR0.1 or 0.8.

    Alright the second question:

We have 20 websites with 0 PR.

How do you interconnect them all?

I thought of having site 1 site link to all 19, and then site 2 link to 18 sites except 1, and site 3 link to 17 sites except site 1 and site 2, and so on until you get 1 site not linking to anything. After a google update and assuming everything is indexed, the site that doesnt have anything linking to it would have the highest PR until you get to the site having the most outgoing links.

This is the scheme I thought of when inter connecting my 20 sites to give the most PR to these sites. Any other bright ideas on how to connect them?

All sites are relevant to each other

There is no way of knowing if the site is pr 0. The tool bar is only telling us a snapshot of pr on the last update. These sites could have pr only the toolbar is not showing us.

If the sites are genuinely pr 0 then they will not pass pr.
