I think the U.S. And the BRITTS need to get all there supporters lined up and march in and destroy them. Show them why you don't mess with TWO! SUPERPOWERS. Of the known world.

There's a difference between what we'd like to do and what we're able to do. With our navy reduced to some rusting tubs in Portmouth and the army over-commited in Iraq an Afghanistan may as well just bend over and let them shaft us. Iran have us exactly where they want.

Next gripping installment: Iranians wheel out young boot Nathan Summers (that means Royal Marine) and make him regurgitate a statement on how we were trespassing in their waters and deeply apologise. Almost comical is the obvious way Summers is prompted to say certain keyphrases like 'Iranian water' and 'our government said in 2004 we wouldn't do it again'. Mad mullahs crank up the tension yet again.

Does anyone else thing we should just let them got on with it? We're not in a position to actually do anything about it. Impose some sanctions and then just have a media blackout on any other propaganda that Iran send out.

Iran haven't got the balls to actually do anything to them. They'll hang on to them as long as they want safe in the knowledge that we can't take military action. I can see them being released in a few weeks when they've finished toying with the western media.

Maybe we can reduce the overcrowding in prisons by sending some of Belmarsh's finest on patrol in Iraq. Let the Iranians look after them for a little while and save the taxpayers some money ;)

This is what is going to happen:

Mullahs will have a stupid court or something and convict the British to say 1 year jail for "trespassing" and "Based on kindness of Isam" reduce it to 2 months and release them after that.

I can't vote any of the above but my suggestion is this

For England and the EU, deport the iranian diplomats immediately. It's not just about this case, but too much of proves of other activities commited by iranien diplomatic corp all around the globe.

If that doesn't help, .... next step

Don't have Europe and the Rest of the world exposed to laughters.

I like your thinking Matt. We're not in much of a position to do anything other than get the wider international community on side and whisper soft words to Tehran, but we can't apologise because we didn't do anything wrong. If I was in TB's shoes (horrible thought) I would be using all diplomatic means to get our guys and girl back and then, as soon as they were in safe hands again, I'd be following it up with a few strategically placed airstrikes. We have enough personnel and kit in the Gulf to bombard Iran this afternoon if we wanted to.

Am I the only one thinking that this is yet another false flag operation that is guaranteed to aid the planned US invasion of Iran?

We need to start waking up to what exactly is happening there. I nearly vomited when I heard Tony Blair whining on BBC news about the 15 being held captive and he was saying how bad it was.

When you illegally invade country's and kill thousands upon thousands of innocent people, many of them women and children what do you expect?? Blair really needs to take a reality check.

It's all a load of focking cobblers. And the SHEEPLE are falling for it, again, as they always do, every single time.

Hindsight's a marvellous thing, isn't it? I bet that you, like I, were pretty nervous at the (now unfounded) prospect of Iraq being able to launch WMD in only 45 minutes. If we'd failed to act back then and the 45 minute rumour had been true, that would have been grossly irresponsible.

Order the Iranians to murder them or release them within 24 hours, else we couldn't careless how long they're held.

The media, politicians etc are just playing in to their hands and giving them a mouth-piece with all of this.

Give the ultimatum and stop the fuss.

And yes, it's very convenient we ventured in to their waters un-armed, isn't it. It was inevitable they would be captured, and yes, help the pretext for invading Iran.

Iran are either very silly or they're just desperate, know invasion is coming and took the bait.

One good thing is that in hindsight we now know the complete and utter lies that we were told by the US Administration that resulted in the illegal invasion of Iraq and subsequent disaster there.
So we should now use foresight to see that all this bullshit is just being done to cause an illegal attack on Iran.

Don't get me wrong buddy I want these 15 troops released ASAP but let's not get too carried away here. The best way is diplomacy, peace and no unnecessary killing. Of course the hawks, tainted by far too many shitty American war movies will think that war is always the best option, when in reality it is never the best option.

There's no way we're in a position to invade, the armed forces are a mess and Iran knows it. That's what happens when you waste time on useless wars under false pretenses. Tony must be feeling like the boy that cried wolf now ;)

But these idiots in charge of us are so foolish that they'll even spread more misery and desaster on an already overstretched army by doing it.

The Bush cabal needs Iran. To put it in context did you ever collect footy stickers when you were a kid?
It is like you have all the Man Utd and Arsenal players, but you need one more card to complete the Liverpool team.

The Bush cabal already has 3 of the major Middle Eastern country's and they are desperate for a 4th. ;)

I am including Israel because that country only exists as a force because the US spends billions of dollars a year to ensure it remains that way.

I see that 7 people have voted to "nuke em"...would that really solve this whole situation? It might.

In the mean time, I think I have figured this out. Everytime the brits are paraded on TV and apologize, the price of oil goes up! Well darn, it was all about oil after all! The moolahs just want more of our money!

Let common sense prevail and I don't want to go back to the beginning from where it started.

There's a problem and it needs to be solved, not critisized. We need solution and no whinings about.
