Yes, and I'm going to admit to using pirated software here on these public forums. I'm using a pirated version of windows vista, have my 250 gig hard drive filled with downloaded music, ripped games, and other warez. And yeah, I don't think I'll be admitting to any of this in a public forum
I have done in the past but never again. When I built my computer I kept the cost down by getting a hooky copy of Windows XP Pro. Of course I couldn't download updates properly and it screwed up my PC big style, so it cost me more in time and effort to fix than if I'd bought a genuine copy in the first place. I now won't touch phoney MS software but try and get genuine copies from cheap sources.
I would agree with him I think most of the Microsoftoffice applications running in India is Pirated only and also The software industry may be losing billions due to a)Pirated Games b)Softwares and applications like MSOFFICE,ANSYS,SOLID EDGE etc...

Yes indeed... windows vista, office 2007, dreamweaver,flash, photoshop. Just name it, all are pirate version on my pc. Even all of my playstation 2 games are pirate version. I'm still a student. Can't afford to bought all that stuff. One day I will getting the original one. Erm... maybe
WOW! So many! So, this is why those of us who buy things legitimately have to pay huge prices...to cover company losses for those of you who steal? But, I guess it is just like most services and products....The pople who do things the legitimate way have to pay increased prices for the rest of you dead beats that justify your stealing with lame excuses for doing so. Most of the pirated software users go for these becoz they cannot afford the heavy price. So they will prefer not to use the software than buy them. So I don't think it is going to make much difference. Also, even if the number of users of genuine windows doubles, I don't think Bill Gates is going to reduce the price for his OS. I know this is no justification for using pirated softwares.
yeah I am using the pirated software because I can't afford to pay for buying license for every software that I am using.
On the Mac, very little... Office because OO is painful sometimes.. If I deem its worth the money, most mac software is what I consider to be priced appropriatley so I just buy it.
Most of the stuff like games and little softwares, no one intended to buy until it is really useful for a long time....so many of them prefers pirated.

"as we know at the real sea, they are many pirates rite?? hehehhee expecially at filipina... wakakkaa.. same like software lor..." but i agree most of people used the pirate software because the licensed is to expensive!!, i think if microsoft can cut the cost for the licensed, we will used the original copies...
