I think Jude forgot this post! Lemme take the chance to answer it.

Jude was wasking you to do a little bit research on that directory. It was launched just few weeks ago and already has around 6K backlinks.

It has many high PR value ( won't mention how many PR7;) ) links already pointing towards the directory. Result?????

Minimum PR5 and if G is little bit considerate --it will be PR6 in few days time. So people are booking sitewide places even before the directory has been launched -because everybody knows how Jude will promote it.

Returning to the topic--- I think the owner is the most important factor --to buy links even if it is PR0.

I have launched a new directory 2/3 days back --and offered free submissions just on DP on no other forum. In 36 hrs I received 437 submissions. and when I started approving links --I was receiving 10 submissions in 15 mins --that was making me go insane as only one or two people were submitting loads of sites. I quickly changed it from Free to paid and started verifying one by one and approving them.

Still --around 100 sites left:( --But once I finish approvals --i'll again offer free submission for a token fee of 49C:D --to stop spammers ( mostly automated submitters).

Beside Rob and Malcolm--mates you submitted one site --twice each ! Do you want both of them approved-with 2 links each?

I don't count on PR a lot choosing which dirs to pay. If Google(SERP) tells me it's good, and PS confirms it, i might buy, if it offers a reasonable price. New but promising directories can give you more than many others since u'll be linked from a page with yet fewer outlinks till it's fully established.

But.. some days i'm more a buyer and some days i'm not, not sure why :p

I'll buy an ad/listing in a newer directory if my research leads me to believe that there's a good possibility I'll receive some traffic in the future as well as a few sales. The ROI is more important to me than the possible PR.

Jhnrang, thanks for your explanation. BTW, research is not required, only one glimpse is enough for that directory. Anyway best of luck.
