I found a site when I was doing some looking around in directories. I found 2 sites that are almost identical. I don't think that they are copy cats but I do think they created them separately on purpose. I don't understand why they would do that though. And have exactly the same layout and images.

No that wasn't the point behind this at all. I have the links if your interested pm me. I was curious at why someone would create 2 of the same sites instead of focusing on one.
They could be doing split-testing...perhaps there is a PPC campaign of sorts they are running to see which campaign runs better.
Yes template ?? Ring a bell ... is the content same on both ? I have not 2 but couple of websites with exactly the same layout and images but totally different niches ...
Yes, I considered that at first but then on closer inspection the have very similar announcements. Only a few words are different but overall it is identical. One does have that it is singapore but its all in english so I dunno.
