Quick before the wife gets home! :D

What are the file permissions? Is it in use by another app?

Nope, it's not in use at all.

@Vasity - comments like that aren't gonna help you on DP.

for one don't be such a reject. for two make sure the program isn't being used by any other program while you try to delete it.

Do you have a virus checker? What happens when you disable the virus checker and try to delete it?

Have you tried booting safe mode and deleting it?

Have you tried deleting it after rebooting your computer?

If you are still not able (Using the suggestions given above) to delete those images from your Documents folder I'll suggest using a tool known as "Unlocker". Google it and you will find it (A freeware).

I've tried every suggestion in this thread. Will try Unlocker now.

EDIT: When I right click, there is only the option to edit, open, preview, send to and a few others :S:S

Well this could possibly because of some virus or spyware. You should perform a detailed/thorough antivirus/anti spyware scan too.

Couple or three things you can try:

Try booting into Safe Mode and go straight to the file and try to delete it

    Or,

Try renaming the file and then delete it

    Or,

While in 'My Documents', go to 'View' and click 'Details'. Then go to 'Choose Details' on the same 'View' menu bar and uncheck everything but the file name. Then try deleting.

    Good luck,

    Phlegm.

Does the image name have an underscore? If so whatever created the image may have used a dos trick to write/delete/read protect it from windows. I forget some of the details on the trick but it involves hitting alt+ a number sequence while in dos. The resulting character is read by windows as an _, but when it uses it as such, it can't find the file or folder.

I dunno why it happens but it does happen to me a lot when I use windows. I usually just restart and then delete them it seems to be the easiest way to do it.
