PayPal limited my account. PayPal wants me to add a credit card and enter the expanded use number. But I have already verified and when I enter a CC, they dont charge me $1.95 so I dont get the exp use number.

When I sent them email.. they reply with this F***

Typical paypal attitude. They'll just keep sending standard responses despite the fact that the user has some specific problems.

And they will usually reply after a week long time with some similar hopeless pre-written message...Paypal s**ks bad time. Always be prepared ;)

The only way I have been able to get through to what I assume is a real person is to make a query about a specific transaction ("The buyer is telling me he paid twice, can you verify this is incorrect." etc.) and then append your real query to the same email. If you are lucky it'll be read by someone with a shade more nous than the plankton than run the outfit and even (*gasps*) answered.

You should see this step as already ticked in the resolution center. So you don't need to add a credit card & enroll in the expanded usage program again. Just complete the other steps.

I don't wanna hijack the thread but question is somewhat related to the issue, we hear that PayPal leaves the hold on money in account after 180 days period. Is it right? If yes, How we can withdraw money after 180 days? Do they send check?

They will send you a check after 180 days. The only question a lot people have is why they hold your money so long?

I saw this thread somewhere else. The best solution is to make a call and tell them all the situtation and also send you CC Statement so that they can verify your address. I hope your paypal will be ok soon.

The reason why they hold your money that long is because the transactions may be fishy or that people may have complained about you. This allow your customers to request refund from you during the 180 days and the existing funds can be returned to them during that time. If all is good and the remaining balance which is unclaimed will be returned to you.

    This is for customer protection.

How much money can they make ? It will be just 6 months of interests. I am sure they rather have the account moving then they can earn more from fees. So how you propose that they handle it especially if they want to protect your customers ?

Not as bad as NameCheap help support replies. I had a DNS error, and then the response told me how to change the DNS.... I KNOW HOW! and I GOT AN ERROR!

I believe that's normal. For once, I'd received the same email from them, to join the expanded.
