Yes they will recruit publishers as well pretty much the same as adsense but this time you would only make money when you make a sale or a lead.

It will eventually go away if pay per action is successful, Which probably will be.

Life is all about changes, Nothing is ever permament. This is no big deal but you all are not looking at the bigger picture. If you have quality traffic you would be making more as pay per action pays more than pay per click.

The only people who would actually suffer from this are affiliate companies such as cj, shareasale and all. Google is always known to monopolize the market in a very aggressive manner.

Internet has always been about selling. Even with adsense if your ads are not converting well your smart priced. Therefore nothing much would change as long as you have quality traffic.

They have "the best" technology on this planet. If those affiliate companies can do it with ease than it's going to be a cake walk for google.

Imagine for a small publisher like me if majority of them converts to PPA then I would be doomed. And I cannot switch to YPN or MSN because I am in India not USA. Maybe Clicksor, Bidvertiser and Adbrite should boom because until now they hardly give any revenues to me.

Hey I am an indian as well. But ppa is the way to go if you want to make those big bucks. Pay per click would end totally if pay per action is successful with google.

I strongly agree, I have sent boatloads of traffic to affiliate programs include CJ and never got a check.

Considering I hardly converted any firefox/picasa referrals chances of getting good conversions on PPA seems not good. Well can only hope Adsense keeps paying us good even after the switch.

I would imagine leads as opposed to sales might work better with CPA. Also, signing up for things like newsletters and stuff might also work well.

All i know is that if good strong traffic isntr converting with ppa and publishers start complaining about affiliate fraud then the other ppc programs will start booming and i will switch over to them as well

Seems a bit bad for sites with adverts, but there are so many sites which advertise that must be quite worthless to those trying to sell through AdWords etc..... there is a bright side however, if lots of people leave, perhaps the keywords will be much higher for them to bid on as there will be less sites available to promote the ads - this means more for each conversion hopefully if they go through your site. The other plus side is that it might be a better option for those with adverts on their site to use PPA themselves to drive traffic if it isn't going to really cost them anything!

One problem with PPA is that what if the visitor you refer to the advertiser site, don't buy instantly and after 2 or 3 days they go back to merchant site and buy or signup for their offer, you earn nothing.

Most of the prospect buyer will not buy on the first time they saw the products.

If this was the case than even pay per click would not exist as most of the affiliate publishers advertise on adwords. There's a thing knows as "cookies" . Some companies have cookies which last forever. Therefore even when the buyer goes to the merchant directly by typing in the web adress you would still get credit for it.

Yes don't apply for it. What else is the option left than? Pay per click would be dead eventually.
