Which of these best describes your niche web-building strategy? I'm just starting to get serious with websites and affiliate marketing. My goal is to hit $4k/month within the next 12 months so that I can quit my job and go fulltime. I've got about 3 hours per night to devote to my new business. I know many people who build multiple sites and use a marketing strategy to hit $2-$5/site per day and then they keep building more sites. I also know a few people who have only a couple of sites, but make a fulltime income from those. What strategy would best suit my situation and what would you do if you had a similar goal to what I mentioned above? Single or Multiples? Thanks. Regards, Mike
single, so that you can direct all ur time and energy to one resource and grow it to a successful project. I don't believe in multiple site strategies, to me it looks like chasing two cats... or two rabbits, whatever the old saying says
Make one good site so you can focous on it. Once that istes is doing well make another one. The more sites you have the more work it will be.
Is anyone here making $4k+/month from ONE site? How long did it take you to get to that point? Regards, Mike
Hi Mike, I would choose something you are passionate about and build your site around it. Write a small report on what you think the world of and hopefully fits into your sites theme... Write a ebook that goes into depth on what your doing and sell it through your report and web site..... Once you have it all automated and working....then you can think about another....but I would wait till the 1st on is on automatic income mode. Bill
Multiple site to start and gain a feel for what internet marketing is all about. Later Use your income from the multiple site to get the ball rolling on a major project....You could also advertise your major project on your smaller sites and also maybe even incorporate some aspects from the smaller site into the major site. My Two Cents
So far, I have just this little blog: www.backpainaid.com Haven't done much SEO with it. I know I need to change things around and fix my tags to be less spammy. Not really sure what to do for it though. Any resources to help me SEO it properly? Am I barking up the wrong tree with this one in a niche that's too competitive? Basically, what can I do with this site? I'd really like to start a niche business site in the Real Estate. I'm not expert, but I hope to be one day and I really enjoy learning more about it. regards, Mike
I used to have around 40 websites but i ended up selling most of them. For me it was... Positive - Interlinking and traffic redirection to where you most need it + security (if something goes wrong with one site you wont lose much) Negative - Its hard to keep up. Even impossible i would say. I just could not run so many sites to their maximum capacity. Now i get to concentrate on a few sites and one large project.
How long should it take (realistically) to start seeing income from a site once you start marketing it? What would be your strategy for the site below? www.backpainaid.com Regards, Mike
Create multiple sites with different themes so as to keep obtaining revenue should something happen to the supporting industry of the others. For example, if you sold organic manure ebooks, then a study says organic manures are bad and sales drop, you can still count on your HDTV guide ebook for revenue. You said you wanted a steady 4k per month so you have to become circumspective.
That's an impossible question to answer. There's two steps to making money with a site: 1. Get traffic there 2. Montetize Can't ask about #2 without know much about #1. First see how many uniques you can get to it each day, then start playing with ad placement, etc. Good luck. And yes, many people blow way past 4K/month. Some with multiple sites, and others with one or two monster sites. Both ways can work. I suggest like the others have said, start a few different sites that you're interested in and see which ones start bringing in traffic and $$, then slowly direct more attention towards them.
