I've been a freelance web designer for almost six years now, but I'm bored of it. I want to provide my services in another way. I'd like to create products using my design skills and sell them, non-unique, to people who need them. Problem is, I don't know what people could use from me. What would be a good product, that I can create, that you guys would use? Informational or not. Thanks.
There's so many free Wordpress themes out there, would it be worth creating them and asking say, $10 for them? Who here would buy them?
try making logos and banners, it dosenot take much time, and you will always get people to buy those, so it is a nice idea. i don't know much about graphics, but then wordpress templates are a good idea, people always like a coustom made and not the free ones!
Create a template site where people can download free templates from you. All of the templates should include 3 links in the footer. Sell 2 of the links to sponsors and keep the other one pointing at your template site. Then also allow people to purchase the templates and remove the links for say 10$ or so. I would focus on only one or two scripts to create templates for, say word press and phpld.
i wouldent pay for anything over the internet except web hosting but then again it's just me! I think you could get money of selling icon packs. You will do icon packs by order. For example there are 2 websites that do that that are really good as i'm avare. They are doing icons for anti-spyware programs, various software icon packs and stuff. But then again something that small requires nerves of steel and not everyone can do it!
