Where's The Best Souce For Photos For My Blog

Other than photo sharing sites like flickr, where is the best place to get copyright free pictures for your blog. Any help would be appreciated.

 

istockphoto.com

 

istockphoto is good still it has some copyright issues.
123rf.com has a bit more flexible. No of photos is less than istockphoto.

I got just the thing for you - Freefoto.com
A brilliant site with many interesting photos, which can be used free of charge on non-commercial sites as long as you acknowledge the source.

 

Most photos on sxc.hu are copyright free for none commercial use.

If you are selling sites with the images however then bigstockphoto.com is very good.

I'll go for Flickr as well

 

I've always use flickr, but go to the advanced search and select 'creative commons'. All images available their are free to use w/ attribution.

Do check each shot for the level of rights

 

I dont think that every picture on flickr is free to use on your blog. Do check the license before using them, else it can be a bit trouble.

 

Not sure what kind of images you're looking for but lots of photos published by the US government are public domain and free to use. And they put out a lot. Try searching around USA.gov and see what you come up with.
