After three years using Adsense without any incident, I have been click bombed. Does anyone know the email address to use to report this to Google? Thanks
fill out this form, good luck! https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/request.py?contact=invalid_clicks_appeal
If you know you were click bombed, they knew it before you did. You should get a thank you reply from them. Please post the response to help keep others calm in the future.
I think this is the one you want: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/request.py?contact=invalid_clicks_contact i have it memorized, as well as taped on my refrigerator..
I just sent them a message using the last form from tearabite. I will try and remember to posts the results, but I think I might not hear back from them for a while. Thanks all.
First remove the AdSense from your site for the time being. Or you can set the AdSense to test mode. Follow up with AdSense on your clickbomb issue with your web stat (if any). Good lucks.
Thanks, but I am pretty sure the culprit isn't coming back. The bombs were 24 hours ago now and have receded.
I had a visitor click 12 ads and 10 adlinks in several visits over a 3.5 hour period. This is the note I sent Adsense: I received the following reply a few hours later. I blocked the IP address, reported the issue to Adsense support and everything is fine. I think it is best to get ahead of the problem. It is better to tell them about it then to have them tell you about it. I hope that helps.
It was 23 clicks. I guess the guy or girl got bored after a while. Or perhaps they liked my site and thought they were doing me a favor. Anyway, the total amount from the clicks was negligible, about $2.50 (yeah, pretty low paying niche). I think Google will not even worry about it. Probably not worth it to even respond to me. But I figured I would be proactive about it just in case.
Google's response as promised. Looks like a canned C&P job. Couple of good links there and they told me that they may adjust the money. Other than that not much to it.
Over what period of time...not sure I'd call 23 clicks a click bomb. If it was in a few minutes, yes, but if over a few hours, no.
It was definitely over a few minutes, but the adsense chart only comes every hour, as you know, so I can't prove it.
