I just sighed up for storesonline.com (for better or worse I'm not sure yet) and they wanted me to sign up wiht ECI for a "special" seminar only price or $999 with a $30/month fee and 2.8% of each trans or something to that nature. We boguht the store but figured there has to be something cheaper out there that was just as good or better and much cheaper (and is not paypal). What are your suggestions?

If you say no to paypal, I would suggest 2Checkout.com

What about Google checkout? The 0 fees for AdSense users makes it very tempting, but I've not really explored it yet.

2checkout is what I'll suggest. Moneybookers is good too but a payer must have a MB account to pay you so 2checkout makes it easy to pay directly using credit cards.

I don't think they allow intangible product/service and still limited for US merchant.
