I'm writing my first e-book. I wasn't even going to do it, but I did some research and could not find my topic anywhere. Then I did a overture search and it was searched on over 25k times feb 2007. So I'm thinking I may have a real winner here. I am very confused as how to determine a price point for this. What methods have you used in pricing your products?

I guess the price depends on the market you are and the need for your product. Maybe we could help if you could tell us more about your ebook.

I think the need is great, for instance the market size isn't that big compared to those such as weight loss or stop smoking. So I would venture to think it should be priced a lot higher than most e-books. Would it be good practice to price it higher and lower it as needed? Is that reasonable?

I'd agree, it really depends on what this niche covers, is it aimed towards teenagers or professional business people? Without knowing what market your targeting its hard for us to say what your price point should be. If your product is geared towards teenages for example then they don't tend to have the disposable income to pay for a higher end product/book so you would make your price point lower, if on the other hand however it appeals to people who tend to have disposible income then you could price it higher.

Without knowing your product I would have to say just try different prices.
