The thing is that taking Timothy Mc Veigh for example, the families of the victims wanted him dead. And I believe that their wish needed to be granted. I have mixed feelings about the death penalty though, mainly because of the bible and what Jesus did when the people were about to stone someone.

Reasonable as that sounds, if the victims closest should decide, the law would not be the same for all and it have to be the same for all.

I believe in forgiveness, but it´s not up to me to dictate on others whether they forgive or not. I believe the family of victims needs to find peace. And if they want the person to die and his crime was bad enough, then there wish should be granted.

Timothy also accepted Christ as his Savior before he died, does that mean that God will forgive him and he will be in heaven?

I for one, would agree with him getting the death penalty though...of course, I think I am a little extreme in saying we should also sterilize some people...if they can't take care of 1 kid, why should they be given the opportunity to have more? right?

You can say that you want people killed, but coming to sterilize you say that you are extreme ?
What is more extreme, to kill or to sterilize ?

I knew this one would come. There is a difference though between taking someone who has killed 100s off of this earth and deciding who can have kids and who can´t.

No matter what anyone says. YES, Killing is playing God. And no matter what the offender did it is not a "God-Right" Solution..OR IS IT~!!!!<-- * eye for an eye*...(I think something about this was in the bible correct me if I am wrong..)...Anywho...I still thinking no one should kill anyone we are all going to die soon enough anyways...Enjoy it while you got it. ( I just think Capital Punishment) Should "dis-able" people from being able to kill other people...(Bye-Bye Hands,Feet!)

The problem is that it costs more to feed, house, and secure an inmate than their labor is worth.

Even if we put them to hard labor, we would lose money on them every day.

    Bullets are cheap. :)

I think if you had the inmates working they would still make more then them doing nothing. :) even if it would cost more to feed house and all that with them they are currently making less now so it would be an improvement

People do have the right to do so because the person had already killed someone (self defense and other cases aside), justice demands that he should be dealt in kind.

OF COURSE they wouldn't have a right to earn the money for themselves..(although that in it self is not a 100% bad idea) but to earn money for the state to pay off there debt to society this is why I think we should have our people in prison working. ( as well as I think it would help there rehibiliation)

I think he should sit in a 1x1x1 meter hole underground the rest of his life. And guess why. Because that would be more worse for him than being dead.

actually my points got posted in the wrong thread x_x sorry about that. But I still don't think people should die. And if a person murdered my whole family. Let me tortue him for around 25% of the lifetime of my family then I will let him go..The vegtable that he would be.

I would want that person dead. And why should my wish not be granted? Why should people who are not victims decide that I cannot have my wish after suffering a terrible loss?
