Microsoft Word, Spell Checker, and the word "Negro"

I am writing a paper on the 1920's and one of the words I am quoting is "Negro"

I accidentally misspelled it "Nergro". I right+click, spelling suggestions, no Negro. I try Nigro, still no Negro under spelling suggestions. When I type in "negro", I get grammar error telling me to capitalize the n.

Just found it funny that Microsoft doesn't want to give spelling suggestions that lead to Negro.

It is... but it is also an English word and Microsoft has it registered as so because it asks for capitalization.
