What I don't see at any point is whether this young girl was Islamic or not.

And even if she was Islamic, those children deserve every bit to be brought up on charges of assault for violating French law.

They still have the right to choose to practice any part of their religion they wish, but they need to take the responsibility for their actions.

Depending upon who the sinner was, they should either receive praise -or- they should receive praise and be allowed to divide up the sinners belongings.

Those are the rules of their faith. If you don't allow them to follow the rules of their faith, aren't you allowing government to interfere with the practice of religion?
