True. It doesn't help that the guy with the most liberal voting record in Congress is the only atheist as well. I know some other conservative atheists were pretty peaved by that.

Yeah, that whole concept of when you are dead there is only silence doesn't really inspire me, either :D

    What, no Scientologists on list?

I'm kinda surprised it took so long.

Per your example, people confuse Atheists for Anarchists, just because they have one common idea, doesn't make them the same.

What I don't see at any point is whether this young girl was Islamic or not.

And even if she was Islamic, those children deserve every bit to be brought up on charges of assault for violating French law.

But wouldn't that violate the rights of the other children to exercise their religion?

Don't they have rights too? Why are her rights more important than their rights?

Why should she have rights at all; she's a girl!

They still have the right to choose to practice any part of their religion they wish, but they need to take the responsibility for their actions.

Shouldn't they be rewarded for following their religion? Instead, you are wanting to punish them!

Depending upon who the sinner was, they should either receive praise -or- they should receive praise and be allowed to divide up the sinners belongings.

Those are the rules of their faith. If you don't allow them to follow the rules of their faith, aren't you allowing government to interfere with the practice of religion?

If a religion says that every night you must cut out the heart of a virgin and offer it, still beating, to the "Great horned god" followers of the religion would still be arrested.

The right of one person to swing their fist (even in following their religion) ends at another person's face.
