Anyway, it gets to the same principle as the US supporting Saddam in the early 80's...yes, the US often supports countries who need help when threatened...however, the US has proved time and time again to help without getting anything back (such as weapons or funding)...years later, that help stabs us in the back. During WW2, the US and the USSR were good buddies, and we haven't been since...things change. I bet 10 years from now it will be different as well...in the long scheme of things, does it all really matter?
