Any good VPS for proxies?

I'm looking for a good vps (host thats been around for awhile) for proxies..

    I need:

    Around 5GB space
    150GB+ Bandwidth
    256mb+ Guaranteed Ram
    Cpanel or Directadmin (preferably cpanel)
    WHM if possible.

Ability to upgrade to a bigger VPS or Dedicated Server.

Would like it cheap, but I'm not setting a 'price' on it yet, i just want to get some offers so I know what I'm looking at.

So, anyone know any host (or yourself) that can offer the above, please post.

(i may not purchase for around a month, because i just bought a VPS at vpsbyte.com, and i am NOT happy. 2nd day and so far its been down all day, even though they have a '100% guaranteed uptime' on all their plans)

PS: A 1 month free trial would be appreciated ;)

I'm really happy with TekTonic (tektonic.net).

    512MB Dedicated RAM
    20GB Disk Space
    Dual Processors
    2.0 Mbit Unmetered (equiv. 640GB)
    1 IP Address
    Unmanaged Support
    $28/mo - Free Setup

Used them for 1.5 months, 100% uptime and no other issues.

Yes, They also have a pretty easy going TOS for adult material etc..etc..

Give it a read through for yourself if your unsure.

Oh.. FYI, the plan I quotes was an unmanaged VPS, no cpanel etc..etc.. you may want a different product.

I think http://www.hostforweb.com/ allow proxy sites on their VPS servers, you should check em out, maybe google for some answers or ask pre-sale questions.

I'm in the same situation as yourself killaklown, trying to find the right VPS for my proxy sites. Looked at servint, 50$ a month is a bit too much for me, although I might consider it. Currently trying to see what bodhost has to offer.

Please tell me what VPS company you decide to choose!
    Andrew.

I use RapidVPS.com, they allow secured proxies, 9.95, 5GB space

They do not allow irc, bittorrent and unsecured proxy though

Yea, i want to ask the same thing delusion asked ;)

And delusion, sure $50 seems like a lot, but my new proxy that 4 days old has made over $7.00 in those 4 days. (so far today its made $4.00). So say you make at least $2.00 a day, you'll pay for the server that month and have an extra $10.. Then if you have 2 more proxies on that server, thats $120 profit ;)

Oh I see, sorry about that. Anyway, I'm leaning towards getting a VPS package at HostForWeb/ServInt now, depending if I can get a good deal with bodhost, tell me what you decide to choose ;p

Stay away from hostforweb. I used to have a VPS with them and they took down my sites witout notice because it was apparently putting too much load on the server. OK that's fine, would have been nice they let me know so I didn't have to find out on my own a couple of hours later.

Oh, and these weren't even proxy sites.
