    Hi!

If i would build a website with a title like this: "Free Matrix Dvd download!", BUT without any illegal content. The content would be a text about the movie Matrix. So only text. The title is such only to attract more visitors. Is this ok with the TOS of adsense?

I think it's okay with the TOS but slightly misleading to your visitors - they'll not come back for a second visit.

It's ok, if you don't need to worry about reoccurring visitors to your site since the title doesn't quite suit the text.

If there is no illegal content then it's definitely ok.

if someone reports it and they investigate, they wont bother checking if there is or if there isnt a download, they will just assume from that line, ther is and you will get banned.

There is no way you can tell this if you do not work at Google.

I would say that the OP`s suggestion is fine with Google. Why don`t you just add the text "the way to get a free copy is to enter a competition" or something like that. Then you are home free.

I don't recommend it because of the effect it will have on your visitors. But it is not against TOS, no.

I agree. As far as adsense is concerned it doesn't matter. But using phrases to get traffic under false premises is quite spammy.

Most likely it would be a case of severe copyright infringement as you are using a trademark in your title "Matrix" It is definitely illegal to benefit from someone else's Trademark. In fact I just discussed this yesterday where someone was using a Trademark in an add on google to drive traffic to their website.
