I was actually meaning that the PR taking over the web phenomenon has started some time ago. And no, I am not sure what to say about any current ongoing update status if any.
Wow, it seems that google will be updating PR more often than in the past! It took forever it seems like before! It's only been two months!
Why oh WHY don't Google just TELL us when a PR update has or is starting so we can cut out all this guesswork and speculation? My site went from a PR4 to a PR5 two weeks ago and has remained so on almost all DC's, no matter what PR checker I use. The annoying thing is that due to there being no confirmation as to what's going on, I've had to halt all link sales because I simply don't know what to charge now. I have no idea if my site will remain a PR5 or if it's just a temporary Google glitch.
Not a fact yet. Some like would notice PR changes, mostly drops while others aren't seeing anything. Kind of weird afterall..
Evrybody is waiting for that. As you can see at Sales most are holding off right now. That includes me.
Yep. It definately updated to a 5 about two weeks ago but with all this confusion there's no way of knowing if this is going to be a permanent thing or just a blip.
I like that idea a lot. A separate "PR Forum". That will allow the PR obsessors a place to obsess, and the PR naysayers a place to avoid. A nice win-win!
I would restate that as "the quality of pagerank comes with the quality [and quantity] of inbound links."
I feel your pain, vnviews. In the previous update I dropped from PR5 to 4, despite having worked very hard with white-hat efforts to secure links. Sometimes there is just no easy explanation.
