Whats my competitor paying?

I have only 1 competitor (other than ebay). Is there a rule of thumb on how much he is paying? If I am above him at .40 per click is it correct in assuming he is paying at least .35? I have tried spyfu but he is not listed, also I am getting a lot more clicks than they report. One more...has anyone ever heard what kind of deal ebay has with google?
    Thanks! This Forum Is Great!!

If there are only 3 advertisers he just needs to pay more than 10 cents to appear I think.

There's no way you have any idea what other people are paying, short of having access to their account.

because of the quality scoring that google is using, there is no way you will find out how much your competitor is paying. It could be 5 cents and you pay 40 or other way around!!

You can get an Average, vague info.,

    Stupid/Meaningless Attempt:
It involves registering a domain related to yor business, park it in sedo., and click on your competitor ad and see how much you got credited.,
if its .02 cents., and assuming sedo pays 50% to users, sedo gets .04 Cents., and assuming google pays 50%, which comes to
.08 cents which the competitor pays.,

You can get an average , by taking 2 extreme keywords, one for which you pay high and one for which you pay too low

I dont encourage this practice , and you cant do like this for each and every of your keyword .,
    so its practically impossible

Sarathy, you could get that close by taking a wild guess...it would be just accurate and take a lot less time;)

If your main competitor is ebay use negative keywords for anything related to second hand / auction / ...

If I'm assuming, I apologise, but the ebay competition may be coming from the 'anything and eveything' ads they use, much to many people's dismay. They are stupid campaigns (I'm up against "Buy Arthritis from Canadians like you!" WTF?), and is ruining other's campaigns by forcing bids up needlessly.
