Okay, here ya go - Craigslist Traffic, for seven clams. And if someone buys this who's not familiar with Craigslist at all, if you have any questions after reading it just shoot me an email and I'll be happy to try to help. I've been using CL a long time for all sorts of things, and I've learned a few 'secrets' during that time that aren't even covered in this ebook.
craigslist is still the perfect place to market your website if you do it correctly. It also depends on your website. I average about $400/mo off of craigslist marketing my website. All it takes is about 15 minutes of work every couple days! When I first started it 2 years ago I made 100 bucks my first day! I was so excited! Until craigslist banned my IP. So you have to be very careful. Don't oversubmit in many categories. Just a few posts a day. Although if i had a way around their IP ban I could potentially make thousands a month from craigslist
You do not have to spam to market on Craiglist. Like the other guy said, you simply 'step lightly' and place your classified ads and take advantage of their big traffic. You can make sales or at least leads there with normal ads.
anyone read this book listed at $7? i'd more than gladly pay $7 vs the $49 for that craigslist profits book mentioned elsewhere but i'm generally sceptic on ebooks overall. having learned so much via DP and other fourms, kills me to send even $7 for something that i go... oh yeah... duh....
Yes, marketing slowly with CL works. People do not visit spam sites (They're smarter than that). If you post right after you're expired, you'll get a nice flow of clients (depending on your offer/services though). But do not spam, like mentioned above, they will get removed really quickly, it's a waste of time.
I bought and read both eBooks. Craigslist Traffic is rather brief in detail. Craigslist Profit goes much more into detail as far as the do's and don'ts...and the details of how to succeed on Craigslist....almost as if Craigsslist Traffic was written after the author read Craigslist Profits and then summarized it. Jim
You do have to be very careful with CL. they will delete your posts and in some cases even ban your ip if you violate their tos.
I am a bit confused... CL is a like a big classified-ads place right? To SELL STUFF?? So if i put up a post to (for example), sell my $10 ebook, with a link to my site to purchase it, would they consider this spam? Isnt this what classified-ads are for? selling stuff?
Great topic. Question about eBooks. IS this that profitable? How do you go about getting into this and making money from it. Feel free to PM me if that would be easier.
It is not so much the "in's and out's" of selling your own product, but how to "dance around" Craigslist to sell your affiliate products that is in question here. Jim
Yeh, Craigslist is pretty strict on their posting rules... Has anyone actually read their TOS? NAsty!
Posting in the classified section for product/service on Craigslist is like shooting fish in a barrel. This works for a product or service to sell, but does not really work for traffic. What I want to know how to get traffic from non-classified discussion areas. THAT is what is valuable. IMO was waste of my $7.
Yeah, they do actually. But one of the things you have to get around with Craigslist isn't only their TOS, but the CL community itself. Even if something is technically allowed, if you post something that the community considers spammy or inappropriate and a few people flag it, your post gets deleted. This makes me wonder if you've actually tried it. Because there are a LOT of fish in that barrel... Yeah, well, THAT is the Holy Grail of CL, I'd like to figure that one out myself, LOL. But they're a pretty astute community - I suppose if you really spent some time upfront to become a 'regular' and pitched ONE thing just the right way you'd see some results, but... even that's a 'maybe'. You know, a lot of people have never used CL at all and don't have a clue where to begin - you were expecting the CL Bible for 7 bucks...? If you didn't get anything out of it, just pm me your paypal address & I'll be happy to refund your $. All you had to do was ask, Libertate.
There's no point in spamming Craigslist, they'll flag your post in a few seconds...the CL audience is very web/tech savvy and they can spot spam a mile away. Which is why it remains a good service, imho. I use it to market my sites but strictly within the guidelines - for example, if I'm selling a book I'll post in my local Books for Sale section. No brainer, and it's not spam because it's relevant there. There are plenty of opportunities to post in the for sale or services sections, and even include your link, but it has to be relevant and can't be an affiliate page. Hope this helps!
