I am looking for an armchair valuation of my forum here Forum Stats I am currently running adsense which averages about 8-$15 per day with approx 1% ctr (12-20k impressions per day). Additional information as to how I can increase revenue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time
Nice active forum Maybe you could think about the layout a bit? I bet your users would enjoy a less than default skin
Im not really good with ad placment but gotta tell you, I *like* the template but it could be a lot better IMHO. the purple line under the part where topics posts and last posts are you should remove the purple line under the grey. it looks bad and out of place IMHO Also see you have a link for DAvatar, but there is nothing on the page, why even have the link up there? if anything make it look good with a template, ya know? just a side note, why is it when you view your page source there is like 5 or 6 lines between all the lines? anyways over all its good, good luck on it. edit, oh yeah, where at in MI are you?
A few things: 1) The 'New Posts', 'No New Posts' etc key down the bottom - they have a grey box around them... You should change this as it is more easy on the eye. 2) Thye pruple strip at the top is VERY bright. 3) It is very wide. If I resize the window a smidge you have to scroll horizontally to read it all. Overall it is a nice site!
Thanks, yeah it is the default phpbb subsilver with minor modifications. I thought about changing the phpbb skin but since I have added many other features to the forum I am afraid that I may loose some of the modifications. Is this true? I am kinda new to phpbb forums.
Hi, Well youve done the hard part but not the easy part! Well done youve got an active forum, thats hard. Now you need to make it less much nicer than it does. Easy modification of the template can change this from what looks bog standard to something good. Your logo has no blend with the template whatsoever, try picking the colour from the logo using a colour picker and using this for the major bars etc in the template. Cheers, Steve
