Hi there, Should I create and submit a new site map every time I update my website (add new pages). Or the one time sitemap creation and submission is enough? Any help will be highly appreciated. Best Regards bushib
that's why i use dynamic sitemaps, my programers make those in cheap rates. when ever any page get's added, the sitemap get's updated automatically. but then you can update your sitemap manually, why make a new site map every time
Submit once. Then update your sitemap once in a while (or all the time). Google should by itself discover it has changed, but if you are in a hurry, you can ping them.
it depends what kind of website you have. if it's a dynamic one and you add info almost every day... then YES! update your sitemap everyday after you have submitted it to Google! If you rich a high number of URLs in your website then read about how to dynamically generate the sitemap.xml file ! Also... don't forget to read about all the 6 important tags from the sitemap! I mean these ones : - changefreq - lastmod - loc - priority - url - urlset Good luck with your website!
Do not forget about Mobile sitemap: You can create Mobile Sitemaps using the Sitemap protocol. You can do this manually or you can use our Sitemap Generator. If you plan to use a third-party tool, you should check to see that it can create Mobile Sitemaps. google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=34648&topic=8493
I think the one time submission is enough. But if you pages are still not indexed, and you changed something to the content, you'd better make a new one and submit it again.
