Are Sig Links from DP any good for PR?

I can see a lot of backlinks from dp in the google webmaster central link tool

 

It sure helps to get traffic at least. I see DP referrals in my stats all the time.

I built a new site- added on my DP sig - Next day it was indexed on google

I'm glad to know people value the links so highly...even if they aren't as highly weighted as we all assume, every little bit helps, right?

 

It helps me build PR, and quality backlinks too.

 

Its good traffic if you have a directory or an SEO related blog/site and yeah it might help PR a little bit.

signatures links in DP is certainly good , some inner pages in the forum has good PR and it will certainly benefit you , and the more no. of post you have the better value for your signature link.

 

DP is a good backlinks for a site especially in Google. But dont post two much because the dp might penalized you as spamming. You can also join in other forums using your signature such as web-master forum, seo-guy and there is a lot of good forums.

 

I never posted on dp for backlink via my signature or for pr, but now i wonder if i should find some pr3 pages here and post there more often.

Is thats the only reason why users post on forums ? For free advertisement via signatures? Is what i wonder lots of time. Well i know i posted on WHT for signature as it targets mainly customers. But not sure what DP targets at ? so not really sure what sort of sites i should put on my signature.

 

Oh yes, Im aware quite a few people here who got an infraction for "running up post count/post has no value". They especially hate posts like "pm sent"!!

I'm also facing the similar problem...i can see DP backlinks only in yahoo, but not in google.

 

For google it depends on the thread. If the thread has good pr, it will definitely show backlinks. In google 4-5 backlinks from Dp show up for my links..whereas in yahoo its huge..almost all the threads where ive posted!!

 

I too vote for "YES" sign links bring backlinks.

I got many backlinks for my sites which I have used in my sign. I am fool who have sold 2 sign links for 6 months for $4 a month. Really now I am feeling that I should have NOT sold them.

I got a new site and the only link to my new site was DP sign, it got PR3. So, it proves me that DP sign links brings PR and SURE LOTS OF TRAFFIC TO MY BLOG.
