PR4 Arcade - Tons of Games

Discussion in 'Sites' started by sweetfunny, Mar 21, 2007.

    Hello,

I have up for sale my valid PR4 arcade www.diceandgregory.com

The site comes with 4 skins, and a few thousand games. I've only got 250 games installed as i really can't afford 3gb of space to put them all online however buyer will receive these.

Members, currently none as the database corrupted during the move from my old host.

Traffic/Revenue, no stats so assume none. Before it went offline, it was quite popular.

Features SEO friendly URL's, so to use these your host will need to support .htaccess and mod-rewrite. If it doesn't you can still use the character string URL's.

    Features:

    PM's to other members
    Games played today & total
    Profiles - messenger support
    Top players scoreboard
    Arcade news
    Add URL link section
    Tell a friend
    Members list & stats
    Admin CP

The arcade comes with paid branding free licence, and it can be used however not resold.

Domain is registered at Namecheap, so a free push to your namecheap account with nearly a year before expiry.

I can help the buyer to move it to their cPanel hosting account.

    Start price: $40
    Increment: $5
Auction end: 24 hours after last bid

    Thanks, sweetfunny.

That backlink is a PR5, which is a GOOD thing and it's from 2003 and it will stay in place.

Having a 4 year old PR5 backlink is a bonus.

    Thankyou, highest bid $40

Who else wants their own PR4 arcade with a few GB of games, and a permanent aged PR5 backlink. This site originally cost me a packet.

That's mentioned in original post, no stats so assume none.

I've seemlessly integrated the adsense using 2 adsense codes, if you look at the main page then a game category page the adsense 100% belnds in with the site. So it's set up for optimal earnings.

I don't bother with channels in Adsense, so i can't distinguish what income comes from what site.

I did have a few hundred members, but when i switched servers the database corrupted. Buggy host.. that's why i moved.

    High bid $40,

That's run via a daily cron, either i havn't got it turned on or the servers time hasn't gone past midnight yet.

I'll log-in and take a look when i get home, but yes it can be fixed if it is actually "broken" in the first place.

Anymore bids, PR4 domain names on their own go for $40.. I'm starting to regret selling this big time now.

Thankyou for your bid, highest bid is $45

Ok a bonus, if this auction reaches $100 i will throw in a bonus of 80 PR5-7 directory submissions. This will give a further boost in PR and traffic.

Also with the transfer of the site, i've had a few PM's asking if i will move it. The answer is YES, i will move it in it's current form to your cPanel hosting. If you want the extra game packs installed, i would appreciate a hand uploading them from the buyer. My upload is dead slow, and i only have 10GB data transfer per month from my ISP, and all the games total around 3GB which would kill 1/3 of my monthly bandwidth and send me back to dial-up speeds for the rest of the month.

This is dead simple to upload, and i will insert all the SQL in to the database and configure everything. I will also support this in to the future as well, if you decide in a couple of months you want to add another game pack, just PM me and i'll set it up for you.

Hope this has made it clear.

Maybe it was popular as degree or education site not arcade.

As i said in my original post, revenue/stats assume none.

Yes the arcade has been offline for a while, again i said the database currupted trying to export it from my old host. I have only just re-installed the arcade, if this isn't obvious by the fact it says "total games played 51" i don't know what is.

    Highest bid $50 via PM.

Please no more bids via PM, i'd prefer if they were posted here.

It's clearly a dropped legal site: http://web.archive.org/web/20040609000257/http://www.diceandgregory.com/ however the domain name is good for an arcade (I'm imagining a cute mascot called Gregory sitting on a dice). The inbound links may be off topic but they'll count for something.

    UPDATE

    Site no longer for sale!

The arcade, licence removal and games packages cost me just over $275US and quite frankly i could make more then the current bid selling text links before the auction ended and still keep the site.

    Whats a scam?

The fact i lost the original domain name to a rogue host, and couldn't export a working copy of the database from their buggy MySql.

Or the fact people want my site with $275 worth of content for $50 or less?

SITE NOT FOR SALE simple as that, keep your allegations to yourself and consider your post reported.

Out of interest, how can your host take your domain name? Was it infact a rogue registrar?
