I'd rather pay less tax rather than more. But I recognize that the sooner we get rid of our national debt, the less taxes we'll be paying in the long term.
How about we get rid of food stamps all together, and instead bring back the bread line? In order to make sure we continue to produce food at 'industrialized nation' rates the government keeps the farming businesses from going out of buisness by buying up grain, milk, and other basic food stuffs. The government then converts it to more store able forms, such as converting milk to cheese (anyone ever hear of government cheese? This is the source of the phrase). Much of this food is shipped to third world countries to feed their pour. If we're already paying for it with our taxes, why not feed the poor, and homeless of our own country with this food, rather than giving people 'food stamps' that they can use to buy Cheatos, Doritos, and pork rinds.
Raising taxes more will only encourage government to spend more money. They need to cut programs. Show some responsibility.
I -am- showing responsibility by stating that we should both raise taxes and cut programs at the same time in order to shunt money to pay off the national debt. Fiscal responsibility.
Not if you raise taxes instead of getting control on spending. Look what happens when most people are struggling and then go get a loan. Long term, they just end up in more debt. Many could have cut spending instead but don't. Our gov't needs to live within its means, just like everyone else. When people want a gov't job because 1. it is easy 2. easy money 3. great benefits 4. easy retirement 5. can't get fired very easily 6. almost guarenteed raises(nothing to do with productivity) -- you know something is wrong in that kind of system. To top it all off other people in similar shoes make the call on more benefits, raises, etc.. while the rest of us footing the bill watch with jaws on the floor. Someone needs to give the gov't an enema.
Not talking about you. Talking about washington. Chill. Show me a time where government cut spending along with raising taxes and I'll go along with you.
Ah. Sorry, Lorien. Due to the period I disassociated the sentences, and when someone is replying to one of my posts I normally make myself the default addressee of statements. And yeah, the government hasn't been very responsible with any of the money we have given it. One of the big problems is that everyone wants the budget balanced, but any given segment of the population has some programs that they are completely unwilling to give up.
gworld, have you ever considered changing your tampon? Damn, you are pissed off that more and more of your buds are winding up behind bars. Surprised you haven't been infractioned out tonight.
So what will be this time? Are you going to go to mods yourself or send one of your boys? How about like the last time you hide behind a skirt?
Nah, not my style. I simply posted it to watch you cry about red rep and infractions again. I can't believe you fell for it that easily! /GTech just smiles and wonders how it could be so easy
No wonder you support Bush and this administration, "it wasn't my order to torture people, some soldiers misunderstood what I meant."
As far as I am concerned, if you declare yourself an enemy of the United States you are a fair target. The guys in that photo are all fair targets for execution.
Perhaps if the US stopped illegally invading Sovereign countries we would see less and less of pictures like that you stupid fucker. Do yourself a favour and think about why countries like the USA, the UK and Israel are hated so much mate. Many thanks.
With all due respect Toopac I have you on ignore because some of your posts in this P&R forum frighten the life out of me.
