Yes it is possible to get hundred and thousand dollars from adsense.. but selling ebooks while we are making 1000$ a day, its not credible lol.
I think u should refer Success Stories (with site URLS and feed backs) at Google AdSense website to belive its TRUE. Content is the master of all. if you have content in your blog/website- Search Engines will be behind your blog/website. You really no need to worry about promoting your website/blog. I read some time back- 2 articles a week with unique content on a specific subject from an individual can raise earnings from 1$ to 100$ a day in 6 months. if you have richer content and better sites, you can make 1000$ a day. It is possible!!

No way you can earn that kind of money unless you use blackhat technique in Adsense. Anyhow your account will be banned because you use blackhat technique.

It's possible.You can check some tips here on DP or shoemoney.com <--he also got his check on picture.But you need to do a lot of work.A LOT.Its better starting with one website,than do some SEO untill the website start making $10-$15 per day without advertising (spending money to get hits,like PPC).Then repeat the same with other website and so on.Finding keywords is the hardest part,there is a lot of competition.If you find a keyword that is easy to optimize for top rankings and there is deasent search volume for the same than you are on the right track. p.s. If you are older than 30 i don't recommend starting now,you are too old)
There are some publisher making that much a day. Look at some of the examples on adsense page, I am sure a few of them make in excess of that.
Just because someone is selling an ebook about making money through adsense doesn't mean it's a scam. Like others have said, they may just want to increase their revenue. I personally wouldn't buy a book as I think most info is free online anyway, or can be worked out on your own.
I used to make a $1000/day from Adsense. It lasted about two months last year when Google had me ranked #1 for a very popular Myspace term. It is a rather amazing thing to be struggling one month and getting 5-figure checks the next. However, google kicked me entirely out of the index two months later. I have been trying to get back ever since. Just because you make the money doesn't mean you'll keep making it. It still requires a lot of work.
