Hi I really need this infraction off since it is totally unfounded !!!!!!!

I applied for a job. That was an old thing but the bottom post still said that there was people needed. And it in no way was my thread and I was looking to get a Web Content job. So PLEASE take this off as I have SURELY got it unfairly thanks!.


- Bumping thread - Bumping is when you reply to your own thread with the sole purpose of bumping it to the top of the forum. Also, a worthless reply to old threads can also be considered bumping.

AS WELL as my post was not worthless. It was to try and get a web content job!

This thread job was never closed so what I am suppose to just KNOW that the job is closed?
When in reality it was still open. I really don't think applying for a job should be a reason for in infraction.

 

Care to share the thread with us? And if it is just one point infraction, just carry on, it's a form of warning to make DP a better place for all of us

Lol, I think you got the infraction because the OP asked for a PM if anyone is interested. And above that it's 198 days old...Many members have got infraction for similar mistakes. So, I don't think mods will remove it

 

LMAO For one I was asking if he needed samples I really agree they should.

And for it being in a 198 day post maybe they should take it out of circulation?????? of the SIMILAR THREAD thing so people don't get tricked into posting on really old posts? Maybe whoever is not updating that system correctly should get an infraction?

Well I was just getting upset. Because I thought it stopped the showing of my website in my profile. But it doesn't so I don't really mind it all that much anymore although I still think that it should be taken off.

 

I see.. also remember others can't even see your infractions, and plus they expire... so nothing to worry about..

I thought my first point I got was bullshit but this one takes the cake because the first one
may of had slight reasoning because it did say PM if interested. I think both are complete

Considering the thread was dated in sept 2006 it could be classed as bumping. Why the heck would you say PM'd when he already knows you sent him a PM?

 

LOL really guys the SIMILAR THREAD thing needs to stop taking me to posts..I am never using that tool again because so far from using the SIMILAR Thread post I have gotten two points. It is obviously a flawed tool.

 

Its not flawed. You just need to stop and think before posting and from my experience always check the dates of the post.

 

It is OBVIOUSLY flawed if it takes you to outdated posts .

But I will be checking dates on threads from now on anyways

 

The smilar post function does what its intended to - to show posts which are similar to the topic. Its up to the user to check the dates it is posted on.

 

I understand how it is setup currently and it's like a virtual bear-trap for anyone that doesn't know it links you to backdated posts. I really think this needs to be fixed.
