In choosing a presidential candidate, does their looks have any influence on your choice?

Well if he had horns, and carried a pitch fork with him everywhere I might not pick him... but other than that....

    Yep looks matter.

Hillary looks like she has already been chosen by the corporate ptb. It looks as though she was given tons of corporate campaign money out of the blue. Of course it looks like she attended the Bilderberg conference first. It looks as if it really matters nothing what the people eventually vote for because Diebold voting machines take care of the rest according to corporate interest.

So yeah looks matter a lot.

I think looks certainly can help a candidate. Especially if they are relatively unknown, it might help them be remembered. I think John Edwards may have possibly benefited from his looks in 2004.

Looks seemed to help John Kennedy and Bill Clinton get elected.

Looks certainly hurt Bob Dole's candidacy, as the Democrats attacked him for being a cripple. (Bob Dole's right hand is paralyzed from a wound he received in battle while rescuing a fellow American soldier.)

On the other hand, John Kerry and John Edwards both seem to have been hurt by their plastic ken-doll appearances.

Americans want a candidate who is a real person, not a doll. Both Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush benefitted from pictures taken of them working on their respective ranches.

I really don't think looks should be a factor when choosing but some people may think this...I think a person that is running for president should be a good leader and have done great things with there life. :) That is what I think the reasons people should become president for.

What kind of question is this? If people would vote because of the looking. You have to vote for someone who is intelligent, lawful, and wise. Someone who is a good politican. If you had the choise between

    Paris Hilton or Hillary Clinton

    who would you vote for?

So you would vote for smart woman. Several months ago was the discussion about death penalty in California. Paris Hilton gave a statement about death penalty.

press: Paris are you for or against death penalty?
Paris: I am for death penalty.
    press: Why?
Paris: That would teach them not to do criminal things again.

    hmm. good choice :D
