    Hey everyone,

    Just a quick question...

Ive got my 2 sites hosted with the same host and for the last few hours the host has been down. This is the first time Ive ever seen my sites down and Im starting to worry.

If the host is gone is there any way I can get all my files back? I dont have any backups as of yet.

Relax, there might be a temporary problem only..

    Call/mail your host admin.

You will lose files only if the server crashes.
    So always keep backups.

How far down is is, can you connect via FTP? Email? If FTP, go get your stuff now. You do need to be more responsible, you should already have a backup, if not you need to set up a cron to backup your db daily (at a minimum). Here are some pointers on that if you need it.

All that being said 2 hours is not unreasonable, that is 99.8% uptime for the month. Which is good for some crappy servers.

don't panic, everything will be back shortly, i guess:rolleyes:
just contact your hosting and see what he says. if your host has gone, then probably you will lose everything, and will get nothing, except the cached pages in google.
that's why i say, host it to the bigger ones, like godaddy!:)
