How to Foster Anti-War Sentiment among Americans

Came across this the other day and it made the hair on my back stand up. Reminded me of half a dozen regulars (and noobs) here in the P&R section. Read on and see if the description doesn't match a few here.

We see this in action daily, but some regulars. AGS has this nailed to a fine art! I wonder if Briant or brujii will respond?

I'm honestly not sure if this is the case, or if this is propaganda regarding propaganda wars, meant to garner support for the war. Oy.

Well, one of my friends who was aware of Memri seems to think that they are solid in general. Good translation, even if their critiques don't like their politics.

i do agree that there is the possibility of deliberate propaganda aimed at manipulating the public opinion in US but i give people enough credit to see for what it is, any such lame propaganda .
i always look at the source of information to check for its impartiality and try to verify the information before i accept it.
    always google the source

How are you going to Google the source for an anecdote?

Whether you are American or not, you have to stand up for what is right. Many non Americans would be a lot happier if they put aside their jealousy for a minute and look at the issues rather than listening to local hate mongers putting down the United States and watching their little commy Euro channels which depend on ratings based on bashing big brother who has always been looking out for them.

It´s a shame, but then again, that is why America is the most successful country on earth and the others talk crap. Reminds me of high schools where the losers stood by the side talking bad about the guys who get all the girls :D

Actually, I wasn't going to respond. But since you called me out :D

If you look at my posts, you should see that most have nothing to do with Iraq. I have a problem with a government essentially run from the top down, with only illusionary checks and balances. And the war in Iraq, in my estimation, is just a symptom of a government run by a few, for what appears to be their own interests. (Well, a serious symptom like coughing up blood).

    BTW,

I like your sense of irony ;)

Most of the ones that have anything even tangentially to do with the war in Iraq (or more properly, per the Bush administration, "the war of terror") are by and large about state sanctioned torture, and the lack of credence anyone should accord any evidence obtained from it.

The message is that a government should not support torture and limiting the people's freedoms in order to persue some nebulous "war on terror."

They all have the same "anti" message for me. I'd address the rest, but there is no credibility to it in the first place.

That's true. Our dear friend gworld recently slipped and said "they also kill the man" as a way to try to justify putting rape victims to death.

Keep them talking about their own culture long enough and the truth will come out about how they really think. You can only fake being what you're not for so long.

Anti-establishment to some extent. But not entirely. I think structure is good, but not when it's used or a few and not as a tool for the General Welfare. Not anti-U.S. I actually think that quality belongs to a lot of people in the U.S. government. I'm not the one in South American pandering.

I'll just tell you I think Smedley Bulter had it right, and as you know he was deeply involved in the game. Being on these forms should give you a glimps of it. You are on the other side of this game, you see the motives of many people who are online and playing games with different SEO tricks and website monetizing schemes. And some poor guy just want to know if he's gonna get mesothelioma from working in the shipyard, not get some crap spam site traffic :( Now imagine what the really big dogs are up to.
