#11 on Google / #2 on MSN for keyword "Free Funny Videos" , But no traffic

Hi Guys.

I have top ranking in major search engines for keyword " free funny videos "
But i m not getting high traffic , I don't know why .

Does keyword also effect in traffic , which keyword will be suitable for this site.

Your site was in the 9th position on google when I just checked. Free funny videos is a good keyword and is suitable for the site. The only reason I can think of is the people searching "free funny videos" are just visiting the top most positioned sites.

 

There were around 22139 searches done on the keyword: Free Funny Videos last month, so there are plenty of people searching for it ....
I would have to agree with Gatorade ... If you are not getting any traffic then it maybe simply because your site is too far down the list .... Looking at your compitition I would have clicked on any of the top 5 ... I wouldn't have even have looked at the bottom links...

But keep on working at it with unique content etc ... you'll get to the top 5 with perseverance !!

Maybe you should also try to target highdemand/low supply keywords to boost your SERP results.... like Free Funny Video Clip ..... 2275 searches down last month and only 9.5M Results.

 

free funny videos is not super popular to be honest, that's why you are not getting any traffic, you should go for "funny videos" instead

11.000 it's not alot, i am targeting some keywords that are "55.000" and they don't bring me any traffic!

I even target keywords that get 2,943,515 searches a year, these are bringing me about 100 visits from google, and i am on the 1st page of google!

 

congrats on gettin ur site n the top 10 ..now u can optimize ur site so that it is targeted to the more popular keyword as skion said

 

yep, you have dto be on the top 3 to get decent traffic based on my observation on my arcade site.

Where do you get these statistics ?

 

I think he got those numbers from either Word Tracker or Overture depending on how he may have edited some of the text surrounding the results.

 

the problem is that depending by the keywords people are looking on more or less results.
if i look for funny videos doesn't matter which is the site i'm looking for because they probably have all the same contents. so or you are at the top of the list or you are out.

I see really high overture for 'free funny videos' so that is quite strange why you are getting low traffic

perhaps just aim to get the higher rank on Google

I dont get much (if any) traffic from msn for my high rankings

Get more quality links using your targeted keywords as anchor text. Also try to get other alternative to get traffic. You can get traffic from social bookmarking and forums which is related to your site.

Nice ranking for the competitive keyword. Try to get relevant high PR links.
