All Links Deleted :( Please Re-Submit - The Free Directory

Hello All,

After the release of My 1st Free Directory here at DP, I had thought to upgrade my directory from phpld 2.0 to phpld 3.1.0...
But while upgrading i got a few database errors and i contacted Hostgator where i host my sites.. through live chat, they forwarded me to mail them through support.
Then i mailed them and they said that i will have to repair the database, i did. Then after the install of the upgraded version, i checked and found that most of the links and all of the categories were lost from the directory
Hostgator showed poor support and could not provide the database

So all the links now have got deleted!!!

I am sorry for the things that happened and would request you all to resubmit your sites to the directory once again.
And i would approve the sites instantly that are submitted within the few hours.

Hope i get the support from all of you in re-populating the directory, which had about 800 links in 4 days.
And the directory is indexed in google now

Regular Links with reciprocal - Free
All Links are permanent

Please reply in the thread if you have new category requests.

- No MFA sites or adult links.
- Deep Link Submission allowed only for featured links.
- Each link will be checked for spammy content before approval.
- Spammy title and description will lead to get the link deleted.
- Only Featured links allowed in the top categories.
- Link approval can take time from a few hours to 1 week.
- Gambling Links not accepted in regular, only featured links accepted in gambling.

It's important to setup a Cron Job to daily save the links.

 

If you don't have access to cron you should set up windows scheduler to hit the back-up page and send your db dump.

Here is a script I have been using for a while to do my db dumps.

Don't get caught w/ your pants down. ALWAYS make db backups as this is not hostgator's job.

Just an fyi: Here is a thread that shows how to take the above dump and restore it automatically.

Finally approved all the links after reviewing..
And deleted a few links including gambling links as they didnt follow the rules provided in the thread.

725 links active now.
