Hi Saad--Yes you are right--to achieve PR7 is mightyly difficult.
But as I have been stating since the beginning-- I have formed my opinion on the basis of the strength of inbound links.

Alive has so many high powered links that -- one can wonder how much went into getting them. But it lacks something--No inbound links above PR7.

Aviva--same case--though it has one PR8 --but that PR8 link page has about 1300+ OBL.

I might be wrong--the tool I am using might have failed to show those PR8 links for Aviva and Alive.

But that tool has shown dirsensei, Gii and directorydump to have PR8 links. Just my opinion and it is just to have fun:D

    XC06--- Sorry --I didn't analyse your directory.
Yes you are qualified to get included in my list --by virtue of the strength of your backlinks which says (that has been shown by the tool I am using)--

    14xPR6 3xPR7 2xPR8

I beg your firgiveness if I did anything wrong by posting it.-- You are gonna be PR7.:D
Besides you spelled your URL wrong--there was one I more --here is the correct URL!

I'll be in all of Chris and Jeff's directory networks by months end to further the strength.

Pretty cool to me personally, to see a bunch of you guys rooting for dump. :)
I would be extremely pleased with a PR6, but just to be able to maintain the PR5 would also be just as pleasing to me.

At last ONE reasonable voice here.

And the rest - do you really believe talking about future pagerank can help you so much? Better keep good job, work hard and avoid too much bla, bla, bla...
See dozens of PR6 directories that can only dream of PR5 LinkForever's traffic and the number of featured listings... But will not say a word about predicted pr.
One is sure: future is open for AnOn and his directorydump , hope also for LinkForever as we both have our heads full of ideas and some skills. :)

Not for all directory owners ;)

Not being funny, but then theres the review fee which is why alot of directories do not care... your directory could be pulling in ten featured links a day, but then mine pulls in 4 and i'm ahead.. (that was just an example, but know what i mean?)

I thought we were having fun----

I checked Linksforever--and he got just few high PR backlinks--
17xPR5 7xPR6 (these have been shown so far --he might have few more)
They don't go 10 miles near what Jude, an0n, romow, amit and Terry have:D (Even I have more than that:D ).

Talking about Traffic-- Amit told me he had over 2K visitors yesterday Alone. Teyy'r linksjuice have improved 100% on Alexa from 80k to 40 k in 4 weeks:eek: --I don't know how much Traffic Linksforever got. Going by the figure of Terry's --he might be having --5-7k visitors/day.:D

    Don't understand all this discussion...
I'm really embarrassed with all of it. I never count someone's money, I'm never jelaous of someone's success. I'm really too old for that. :)
Anyway as always and frankly I wish all of you highest PR you can dream and running really good business.

BTW. My current Alexa is 25.927 and yesterday: 20.105. Always on weekends it's going down but think all you have same like me.

I like this thread, but I can not base the next big directory on the amount of high pr links they have pointing to their directory. The reason I say this is because although some of these directories may have good links pointing to them now it does not mean that they will get the pr they are expected to get. Most sites will need to hold on to their high pr links for quite some time and not just 2 or 3 months or long enough for them to supposedly kick in in time for the next update.

I'd perfer to watch some of these directories for awhile and see how they handle things. Although I do think that directories like romow, ewebpages, gii, ask-dir, linkjuice and linksfactory as well as directorydump will be fine for awhile to come.

You know banless -------I think-------------you are absolutely correct.:D

Why take it seriously--we are just doing something-that iwebtool can't do:D
Lets see who is better-- Iwebtool's system or us!

Well I think --all the owners of these directories ---now 6 are really -experienced --and I think they know that they still have long way to go!-to catch up with the real big boys. But they are the contenders. Some might reach there preety soon.

Lets wish best of luck to

To be of any value they must keep the links indefinitely, what is the use of getting the High PR and then losing it? It’s "ea$y" to get to PR7 / PR8 the problem is keeping it, normally its a capital intensive game, you could find yourself spending $XK month only to keep it.

I think the focus should be on creating mid to long term value to submitters not only for 3 months.

I guess more people are simply convinced that heavily invested directories are the "ones".

    Understandable... ;)

I would too agree with it, probably a better indicator than PR, Alexa, or PS after all.

I'll agree on this. I am a huge fan of motivating others, and I do want to see all of these directories do well, for it will help the rest of us do good as well :).
