    That's because Alexa data is heavily skewed towards webmasters, as many of them have the Alexa toolbar installed to boost their own sites.

    Listing your site for sale on webmaster forum = webmasters visiting your site = massively increased Alexa rank.

    Now perhaps you start to understand how useless Alexa figures are ;)

    and what taulath is saying is one evidence of that.
    but there are more little things like this with alexa.
    PLease inform yourself how it works. its not 100% reliable info and if you are not in the top 100k its not interesting info
