You should put the header image into the header. And maybe you should focus the blog on one or two topics.
Speaking about content, did you ask ezinearticles.com before you've used their articles?

 

You need some background colors on your tables to seperate the header, left table, center table and right table..

It looks squashed on my 15.4 inch screen. could you make it wider

 

You could try to create a real design for it. I know that for a blog it`s the content that matters , yet the design ( the visual part ) can keep a visitor more on your blog.
