i got 5 clikcs from a single visitor..... saw it on adlogger is 5 times clikc from a single visitor.... click bomb
You cant count on visitors only clicking on one ad. They may not like the site the link took them too, and press Back to visit another. While 5 seems a bit much for this, it may not be malicious. If you are worried at all, email the AdSense team to let them know your concerns.
I agree...I've had 5 (or more) on more than one occasion. I've examined the log files to see how the person got to the site, how many pages he viewed, what period of time it was over etc. Every time I've determined that they were completely valid. I wrote up a little bit in a log I keep documenting the IP, times, pages etc just in case something ever comes of it, but I have not contacted Google about any of the events, nor have they contacted me about them.
Who cares? Seriously leave that to Google to figure out, it is not your job to watch for spam clicks. Peace,
Really? Proof it. Google uses its own algorithm to check for invalid clicks. If they detect such clicks no matter what program you are using you are banned. Google does not endorse such programs. It also knows that there are some idiots click on competitor ads hundred times a day. Peace,
You are solely responsible for the Site(s), including all content and materials, maintenance and operation thereof, the proper implementation of Google's specifications, and adherence to the terms of this Agreement, including compliance with the Program Policies. Policies includes fraudulent clicks by you or third parties. If you notice it and just let them worry about it you WILL be banned. Be proactive and you stand a much better chance at an appeal. You may still be banned, but the point is you stand a better chance being reinstated by knowing what is going on on your site than by just sitting back and staring at clouds.
I once got 12 clicks in a row, which is probably as much as I get in a week. I just sent google a message saying I don't know where it came from and they sent one back saying no worries, but we will continue to monitor it.
5 clicks is nothing to worry about, unless your total number of visitors & clicks is very low.. also remember that Adlogger OVER-counts clicks, because it really only counts "mouseovers".. So, insteaed of calling it a click-bomb, i would say it's more like a click-fart..
Quoted for truth. From my past experience, if the site had the content I was looking for, more than one ad looked appealing.
Adsense has alot of tools in place to prevent clickbombing but its always safer to let them know if someones threatening you.
adlogger is a great tool isn't it? If you are scared of a click bomb threat, make sure you settings are well into place "x clicks per x hours" Also, you can ban an IP through the Adlogger admin panel as well.
Now Im jealous. I cant seem to get the stupid thing working properly. Something about MySQL database. I've created one, but I don't know how to find the host name and port.
Email your hosting company, they will be able to tell you no problem. I don't believe you need a port though? The default host name is "localhost" if it's anything else then that... definitely talk to your hosting support.
Small issue. I have private hosting. Father's company has a server. I'm sure I just can't be bothered enough to figure it out. Thanks for the info.
