UPDATE: As per below, I will now give $150 to the winner who can integrate a fully functional site together :)

    -Heroes Unleashed-

I currently own heroesunleashed.com which I would like to make as a fan site for the TV show Heroes. http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/ - official site to give u some info about what it is about... if u don't already know this great show!

I want a main page that looks like one of the sites below which can integrate blog entries, episode guides, youtube vids etc (unless someone has a better idea since I don't own vbulletin) combined with a blog. But I think mainly it'll be a phpBB forum since I won't have much time to update it. Therefore the easier the frontpage can update content the more interested I would be (i'm sure alot of content is public anyway so you can put stuff together, copy and paste it, just to show me what you can put together)

There are a few sites out there already and i want this to be better looking and cooler than the rest in some way. here are sites for reference, what I would like my site to do.

http://www.heroes-tv.com/modules/news/ -i like the module integrations
http://www.heroestv.com/ - great site to base my ideal on
http://www.heroestheseries.com/ - good blog but a bit basic.
http://www.9thwonders.com/ - my favorite! but think this will be hard to beat...

If someone can design and put together a site for me that looks better than any of these that I like, and approach it from a very interesting angle that makes it stand out from the rest, i will paypal the winner $100

Let's see what you can do!!

I may enter if you just require the .psd and do not need the site coded.

Same here. $100 is way too little if this includes coding and such. I'd be happy to make a quick design for $100, though. Just. :p

This is quite vague. What exactly do you want for $150?

I will happily take part and design a website for you to consider but, upon acceptance, that's when I will actually start coding it and putting it together. Only the HTML and CSS, though. No PHP or anything like that.

thanks for submissions. Looking good. Just some feedback-

tropica i would like something that is more unique. don't want it to look too much like a template.

mooseman i like this design, but i'm wondering how easy it would be for me to integrate posts, videos, etc. would also like to have space for adsense codes.

For $150 what i am wanting is a coded site that is easy to administer because i'm not a programming expert. I can get scripts that can do automated blogs and videos etc. as long as I have the basic setup (a good CMS as basic, linked to wordpress for blog and phpBB for forum)

I don't mind what format the site is in as long as I can readily plug content easily. I will leave that up to you to put together... which is the point of the contest :)

I know it may not be a simple task so don't take up this challenge unless you think you're capable to create something impressive :)

I will pick the winner by design + integration of forum/blog/videos. You don't have to spend days or hours to have a site that is packed with content and ready to go. In fact I suggest showing me drafts so I can say if it's in the right direction.

Look forward to seeing what others got :)

Okey so now you want it coded? I'm not a prgrammer, I only know html/css.

And about the design, there is plenty of space at the left for adsense and when you code it, it can be sqeezed in almost anyway between the blocks in the middle.
Depends on what you mean with integrate videos and things.. I think it would be piece of cake if you got the database ready, if that's what you mean :S

    :)

Not sure you'll get many entries for this, a coded site for $150 is a pretty large ask - maybe some people will enter it, though - good luck!

thanks. unfortunately at this stage this is all i can afford. i guess i'll leave it open to people to see what they can come up with. at this stage i just want to get the best i can for $150 so if no one is able to get everything coded then i'll settle and when i get more funds upgrade it later. but the best package wins so let's see what everyone's got :)

I could Design it / Slize it and HTML it for fun but I will not PHP it will full CMS system and everything. <- the rest is more valuable than 150$ ( in which noone here is guaranteed with his entry )

Yeh, that price was extremely low for all that work. When you have more funds, come back, but more funds = a better website, if you shop around and learn about what you're buying. But come back here, and we'll see what you have to offer! :)

$250 - This will get you the site, but it'll be poor.
$500 - Mediocre, but 'acceptable' in some web developers eyes.
$750 - This is about the price range you want to be looking at in places like DP.

I'd recommend coming back with something in the $500 range for a fan site like this, if you're interested in being able to customise it via an admin section. If you learnt a little HTML, CSS and PHP, you could save yourself a lot of money but, of course, this takes time.

If you win the lottery, go all out and spend $2,000 on a fully customised, unique and awesome site! :p :D

    Good luck! :)

I will enter this. I need cash asap. I think you will like the design.. Only XHTML and CSS. if you want complete pre-made site it will cost you n-times more.

    n = 2,3,4
