Such as like myspace resource sites basically if people would just give their opinions what types of sites are over-used and not money makers anymore due to over saturation in the market.
Why not instead just keep trying to think of something "new" instead of what's just not over-saturated yet (assuming you're looking for online business ideas)? If it's been done, chances are that if it's not oversaturated yet, it will be soon.
it's not for business ideas, i was asking in general, i guess assumptions run wild at this forum, some people feel other sites are more done out than others, i felt myspace resource sites were, i was seeing what else others thought
in that case, I'd agree. Myspace resource sites seem oversaturated. So do image hosting sites, pixel ad sites, general directories, and just about everything where one big site has come out, and then we've got a bunch of free or cheap scripts to do the same thing. One of the newer ones I've noticed is press release sites. It's easy to let people post something, and charge them for a better ranking, so it seems to be a growing market. With all of them, the key is in finding a niche area that's not saturated yet, even if the general niche is.
I would definately not make a movie review site. At one time it was a good idea but just did a google search for 'Movie Reviews' and it turned up 81,500,000 results. So everyone is doing, and your chances of rising above the pack are slim or would take an absurd amount of time.
Myspace resource sites are a money making machine.Oversaturated maybe but they are like any other niche.People see other people making money and jump on the bandwagon without a clue as to what they are doing and wonder why they fail.
i would agree MKInfo, i know some people who have been like "wow that site is making a killing, imma make one like it" then expect results just because content and domain is there, then they don't set it up right or market it at all I am actually working a website based design/offline projects right now so I am busy with that however with the fact that myspace sites are so oversatured how are they still money machines? you're saying based how they are setup? like if a myspace resource site was original (as original as it can be) that it can still bring in the $$?
It is like any site.If you know how to market it etc..............oversaturated maybe but if you can get into Googles top 10 for the best searched phrases/keywords the sky is the limit (same as any other niche).............it is easier than you think if you know what you are doing as you have a ready made audience with Myspace users.
I do pretty well with Upload4Free.com.. but I store files, not images. Pulls in some nice money with YPN. If I had adsense, I'm sure I would make a lot more.
No idea is ever really dead if you can put a new spin on it, and market it directly to the right people as MKInfo said.
Where did you get that information.I beg to differ.I run three and get a very very nice payment from Adsense every month. Lets say enough to change my car every month If I wanted to. Although I'm nowhere near the top of the list I know guys earning $xxx,xxx/month with Adsense from Myspace resource sites. Take a look at the boys from Freeweblayouts.net http://www.myspace.com/kato3000 They are known for the very high qualty layouts and are rolling in it.
I think the dating market has been saturated for quite some time and with new free dating sites, there definitely won't be much money there in the future except for advertising revenue.
you could do a website "prison love" reuniting prisioners who have been separated due to early release. Could be quite popular. I can guarantee you it has never been done.....
