    Hi

Well basically I have a vast amount of college work which needs to be delt with, and I believe a temporary ban for around 7 days days would really help me, as I just cant seem to stay off DP.

Also is there any long term disadvantages of this before you ban me?

    Thanks
    Ash

Wow - that's the first time I've seen someone wanting to be banned. I hope your period in rehab is granted. Rep heading your way for trying to be responsible!

hehe - yeah, this is a good one :D

And about the self-control... well, realising and admitting that you have a problem is the first step to recovery ;) lol

See you when you are back!

Sorry mate - it wouldn't let me rep you again. You might get some 'welcome back rep' if you play your cards right!

But if you are not interested in using a script to ban yourself, then just create a duplicate account. It's the easiest way to get banned... lol.... :D Good luck with you studies. :D

Withdrawal symptoms from access to DP include:
Depression. (feeling of loss, isolation, abandonment)
Paranoia (thinking people are talking about you)
Anger (bashing the keyboard when the "you're banned until xx.xx.xx" screen pops up)
Delusional (blaming others for your ban)
just to list a few, please feel free to add to the list :D

Instead of asking for a ban - you can do well and break these rules

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=dp_faq#faq_posting_guidelines

    :D

And believe me its a tested method by many.... if you need guidance for a quick ban join anthony_cea's "how to get banned within 72 hrs" club.. (He's a good fella just cant exert self-control in the political section)

I think we should stop this. Our friend here might drop his subjects if we really convince him about the consequences of leaving DP even for a short period of time. lol... :D
